How you begin and end a speech or presentation is critical to how your message is received and the impact it has. In order to perform/present effectively there are three Keys that you need to master in the ‘Who says What to Whom’ scenario. The Greeks called these three keys Ethos, Logos and Pathos: Ethos focuses on the role of the speaker and the vital importance of his/her level of self-confidence and ability to captivate and influence an audience. Logos is the creation of a clear and compelling structure consisting of premise/proposition, argument and evidence. Pathos focuses on the audience’s interpretation of a speech/performance and how it engages, affects and arouses emotion.
